Boxing Day 2014

hello everyone, I've been busy so not come on here I m afraid. I love Christmas. Love the cooking and the food and festivities.
Today is wind down day and eating left overs!
I have finally finished the top of the owl and pussycat cushion , so here it is I'm really pleased with it I love the colours.
I'm hopefully going to finish the cushion today nd put on my new bed!

Nearly xmas

Good morning everyone,
It's nearly Xmas! I'm off tomorrow and I really need to make a list of what jobs I need to do , I always like to make a fuss at Xmas . Even my doggies get a xmaS dinner with Turkey they love it!
I'm at the day job today and it's freezing here , and today is charity day where we wear a Xmas jumper so I'll be nice and warm!

Blue black work

I have been busy attempting the black work themed peice as shown above , it is a bit abstract based on a Islamic tile from the 1700 . I did the design myself as usual and I am using goat leather on it where it's green leather and then I have put silver cord around that area to hightlight it.
I am hoping that it will be an interesting peice once done.

It's freezing cold here so I am staying in to stitch ! With my doggy on my knee and a cuppa by my side....perfect!

Hair do

Good morning all,
The weather is awful here......wet,windy and cold.
And I have a hair appointment ! I do love getting my hair done as they do it lovely.But I know that as soon as I walk outside the hair will be wrecked so I think a hat is needed!

Cushion sample

Well I've managed to finish one project for the exhibition ....just another 12 to go ..
This cushion top is based on an old Islamic tile and I have used Trampunto quilting ( which is Italian quilting ) and beading and also normal English quilting. It's lovely and tactile and I am rather pleased with it.

Work area

Good morning all, well I'm sitting here with my cuppa and deciding what to do today .... It's freezing cold so it won't involve going out! I do need to tidy my lampwork and jewellery area as I am a messy worker so I think that's my first job! And I promised hubby a cake.......

First craft fair.

Well what a day I had yesterday ...I was shattered so much work to set up and get ready . It was worth it though I had lots of interest in my stuff and so many compliments on my work which was nice.

I'm having easy day today relaxing at home thank goodness.....so tired. Doggies happy as I'm here with them! I'll be sewing for a while I think so having a rest from jewellery for now.

Shattered

Well I'm shattered! I've been making beads and jewellery all day and I'm so tired! I'm going to finish them all off tommo but bed for me now I think!

New shapes lampwork beads

Good morning all,
Well yesterday I was very busy making some new beads,
They are a new shape and I love them! I think they'll be popular on my stall so I'll be busy tomorrow making more I think. I want to keep a lot of them but I can'tLOL I need to sell them that's the whole point of doing the craft fair at B rent wood,
Here they are anyway I'll be making them into jewellry tommo I think.

I especially love the turquoise one so if it's left after Sunday Ill be having that one! I can do another one I suppose!

Quilted phone case

Good morning all.
I've invested in a new phone recently which has a lovely big screen, and is really easy to use however when I asked in shop about a case the one for my new phone cost £30 which is about $45 !
So as I refuse to pay that for a case I came home and made my own quilted one which is actually more padded! Here it is I've just used up some off cuts I had so it's not actually cost me anything!
I'm making them for people as well for £5 for charity of Freddy who's my freinds little boy who's not well and needs physio after his op to walk.
So here's the picture of my case.

Handmade earrings

Well at last I think I've made all the stock for SaturdAy.....I've made so many beads over the last few weeks! I feel as though I've neglected all my other projects and the housework!
Hubby even suggested I get the Hoover out over the weekend ! LOL . Now most of the works done I suppose I cans get back to the normal routine so I can get on with some embroidery! I've nearly finished one of my peices for the exhibition which is good.
So here's the earrings all displayed up ready to sell! I just hope people like them!

I've been very busy ! I've been trying a few new ideas so here's a couple of  bracelets I made recently. I saw a lot of people wearing braided bracelets and less formal type bracelets so I decided to have a go and use up some beads I made so here they are.

Good morning all,
Been a while since  I've been on here I'm afraid.Ive been so busy getting ready for the fair ! I'm hoping it will be a success,
My MS is playing up as well so I need to be careful I'm not overdoing it. Sometimes i forget I'm not 100% fit!
Got a busy day today but I'm off the day job tommo and Friday so I'll be resting in my new bed hopefully . We're getting one of those beds that changes positions so I can sit up ! Can't wait ill never get up! ,

Bead mad!

Good morning all,
I've been a bit under the weather lately but I'm feeling better now...
I've made some Christmassy beads to take to the craft fair in December so I thought I'd share with you all.

Lampwork jewellery finished

good morning everyone,

I'm loving making the jewellery I do hope others like it at the craft fair next month.

Lamp worked experiments

well I'm quite pleased with the results of my playing yesterday , my lamp worked beads turned out nice and I even managed to get two matching ones for earrings which is actually quite hard as the nature of lampwork is that every bead is unique .
So here's a picture of the resulting beads I'll try to Remeber to take a photo of the finished jewellery too! I forget to do that !

I'm off to the embroidery  guild this afternoon for a talk so ill have no time to play toady after I've made up these beads.......never mind there's always tomorrow!

Wreath finished

I've finished the Xmas wreath I may add some more bits to it but it depends on time .......it's for a competion at the Embroidery guild. As I'm chair there I'm expected to enter all the competion which sometimes is a pain if it's not something I'm interested in! The wreath is an example of that ...I'm don't like wreaths really and have never had one in my house!
But after making this one I like it as it's soft and tactile.
Here it is finished ....unless I add some sparkly bits!

Head cold

good morning all ...sniff sniff...
I've got a horrid head cold my husband shared with me! I am feeling a bit sorry for myself as it's making me feel rough to say the least.i know it will pass but till it does I'll be sniffing and coughing so won't be playing that's for sure! I'll be in bed every opportunity I get.... Day job today but off tomorrow so maybe I'll be better then

Textile Christmas wreath

Good morning all.
Been a while since I was on here .......I've been very busy! I've been doing my beads for the craft fair next month and I still have to make more!
I have managed to start the wreath for the Embroidery guild competition , I'm not a fan of wreaths but I've made it in fabric so it's more tactile and less prickly I hope.
Here it is so far , pretty easy to do so may put a video on here to show everyone.I've been doing in front of TV  in the evening. !

Results of marble workshop

Here's the results of the marble workshop. I had a lovely day thanks to Dallas and her sister who showed us this technique which although isn't a a new thing it's new to me as it's something I've never done.....can't think why as it's using paint and it's messy! Not sure yet what to make ...I have made a small book which ill post tommo but not sure what else can make so any ideas?
At the day job today so I won't be playing..........

Windy day

Good morning all,
I'm at the day job today and have to go out to the dAy job . The weather is awful so windy and wet. It's the hurricane coming over the Atlantic apparently.
Anyways I'm off tomorrow so I shall be home all day playing and making my beads.
Still need to make a lot more I think!

Necklace

Here's a vintage styled necklace I made earlier today , I've had the bead I'd made for ages ankle I couldn't decide what to do  so I had a light build moement and came up with this.
I hope you like it.

Owl & the pussycat cushion

Good morning all,
I've been ever so busy lately....
Did lots of beadwork yesterday and also been sewing my owl and pussycat cushion cover which I'm loving ! So is my sister so I expect to either make another one or give her this one !
Here's the embroidery so far I just love the colours I've used. So vibrant.

Fish cake recipe

A few people asked me for the salmon fish cake recipe.
So here it is.

Ingredients
1 salmon filet about 6-8 oz in weight - boneless and a skinless poached and then flaked in a bowl.
Mashed potatoes mashed with butter,about 12 oz
1/2 chopped onion softened in bit of oil until golden brown.
4 anchovies ( optional)
Salt and pepper.
Fresh chopped parsley 1 tablespoon
Fresh brown bread crumbs,

Egg with bit of milk to make breadcrumbs stick.


Mix all ingredients except bread crumbs until binded together.it will be a bit stodgy so add some bread crumbs till it's a like a doughy consistency.
You need to be able to mould it into rounds and pat down to a fish cake shape disc of about an in thick.

This makes 4 good sized cakes

Then dip into egg wash and then breadcrumbs making sure to cover all the cake. Then can cook in a oven on gas mark 5 making sure to grease tin as may stick. Can fry too but I'm trying to be healthy!
You can freeze too if you wrap in some cling film first.

Raining!

Good morning all.
It's raining here and has been for days...I love the rain ..am I sad? I just love the noise it makes on my conservatory roof while I'm working in there. It's a natural sound and I find therapeutic.
I've been busy making jewellery for the craft fair but after putting it on the display stands I managed to buy of eBay from a lovely lady who was downsizing I realise I don't have nearly enough stock!
So I'll be busy over next month ! Need to be sure I've got lots of choice for customers.
Well I'm at the day job today so best get ready!

Fishcakes

Good morning all,
I'm feeling a bit smug today as I had such a productive day yesterday. I made some salmon fish cakes and two lots of flapjack! I'm trying to eat more healthy like the dr told me.
It's not so easy though! I also managed to do some lovely beads too.
Busy day today as I need to shop.....

Christmas earrings

Good morning all. I'm feeling bit better today Dr gave me some strong painkillers so I may even try a bit of playing today.
I've managed to finish off my Christmassy earrings which I hope people like at the fair.have to say not my colours but I have to make to sell don't ? LOL not for me to wear......well I'm off now I am going to try and do some more jewellery while I'm feeling bit better.heres the earrings just done

Little bit excited

Morning all,
Well I am a little excitable today as I've drawn up some new designs for my jewellery and I can't wait to get started on them. I need to wake up a bit first though else ill mess it up ! I'm off today and it's my favourite day when I can play and create!

Flapjack

good morning all,
Unfortunately I've been rather busy lately so haven't come on here and my shoulder still hurting so can't play either.
I did manage to cook a flapjack which is a recipe from a good freind.
I haven't made it for about 20 years! I forgot how good it is and healthier than bought stuff.
I'm at the day job today so no playing today perhaps tomorrow......

My little doggy is being naughty as shown below he's on sofa cushions asleep and won't shift....this is what happens when I leave him for 5 mins! 

Painful shoulder

Morning guys,
Feeling sorry for myself today as I've hurt my neck/ shoulder .dunno how I did it but it really hurts and it may stop me playing tomorrow if it doesn't subside!That would be awful so I'm swallowing pain killers every 4 hours!
I need to make more beads for the craft show in December , looked at what I've done and there's nowhere near enough!
So tomorrow will be busy day ,....I'm trying to be organised and make certain colours on certain days so there's some kind of system however being creative means by nature I'm not always organised I make things as I let them evolve which for buiss purposes may not be the most time effective!
So must be more organised I think.......
Anyway I'm at the day job today so have a nice day everyone ..must dash else I'll be late!

Fay maxwells workshop

Good Mornig all.
I spent a wonderful day on Saturday in a Fay Maxwell day workshop.
Fay is a great teacher and makes the day very good fun.
we used the special blanket felt she brought with her in such wonderful colours.
I managed to do mquite a bit of stitching which I was pleased about.
Here's the sample so far , it's will be the front of a cushion once it's finished.

Im off the day job today and I'm playing all day...well most of it until hubby takes me shopping. Also got to get myself ready for tomorrow as I'm doing a workshop with the fab Fay Maxwell and I can't wait! Her works lovely she is so talented.

Rachel's beaded pendant

Feeling unwell

 Good morning everyone,
Not feeling great today ....legs really hurt and having spasms, eyes are flickering as well.
So I am feeling sorry for myself..won't be playing today got my boss coming to see me at the day job as well..so all in all a challenging day ahead I think.

Fire opal necklace

Hi everyone.
I've been so busy so I haven't posted on here this weekend. I had to make a lot of beads for my upcoming craft fair ...still haven't made enough though I need my table to look full and exciting.

I also have been making a fire opal pendant for my friend for her freinds birthday. It's neRly finished and I rather like it her request was for a orange and turquoise/green necklace so tis is what I come up with so far. I'm showing her today so I hope she likes it.....what do you think?

Enamelled lampwork

Hi everyone,
Well I had a great time yesterday playing ...I have mastered a new way of enamelling some beads to use in my jewellery . It's quick and although fiddly the outcomes are great.im going to incorporate the    Enamelled beads into my jewellery with the lampwork beads somehow.
Heres the first examples of what I did yesterday.
Off tomorrow as well but going out so won't be playing till Saturday but I've got the whole weekend! Yipeeeeee!!!!

A lie in ......lovely

Good morning all ,
I've had a lovely lie in today as I'm off, only an hour but makes such a difference! Feel so refreshed and ready to start the day! I've got my gas now and the kiln so I'll be playing on my lampwork making today.
As I'm going to a big craft fair I do need to make a lot of beads and some jewellry . Luckily I do have some but not enough to have a good table.
I'll have to think about how ill set it up as well.gosh so. So much to  think about!

Earrings on you tube

I am at the day job so no playing today ....but tomorrow I'm expecting a delivery of some jewellery bits so ill  be playing then ...no housework !

Day job

I'm in the day job today ....no playing for me!
I am actually making some headway with my exhibition work though which I'm glad about , can't seem to get excited about it. We need to book it then Ill have a deadline and I'll be more focused !
I'm also finishing off  my jewellery that I need to have ready for the fair in December .....ill post some on here tomorrow. Late for work today so best rush off.

Embroidery so far

I've been busy this morning ....my lovely dogs woke me at 5 am on a Sunday ... And won't let me sleep for some reason so I've been getting creative! I have been making some progress on this peice of embroidery which will be a wall art peice for the exhibition I have with my freind which compares the art and the practices of our two religious beliefs.
I also busy making beads but I've ran out of the gas I need and am waiting for some to come so I'll be embroidering for now .......good to have a change!

Bead work

 Good morning all,
Well I've managed to complete my beadwork pendant I started in Vegas , it's lovely , just needs a neck lace to hang it on.
Not sure yet but I think, a simple cord will suffice as it's quite heavy.
I'm so pleased I sussed out how to do bezel centre peice neatly Thanks to Teri at discount Beads in Vegas.
I shall be doing more bezel things I think using my own beads.
Tomorrow I'll be posting  some of my completed jewellery as I need to get some stock together now as I've booked to go on a Christmas fair. It's a big one too so I'm a bit nervous ......

First day back

Good morning everyone,
Well it's my first day back at the day job and I'm looking forward to getting back to normal routine I have to say.
I'm lucky to enjoy my day job but I have enjoyed my hols this year.
Today is the day that Scotland will be voting on independence which is quite a historical thing . We in uk won't vote but all of Scotland are so we will know by this time tomorrow if  Scotland is to remain in the United Kingdom.

Well enjoy your day I won't get time to play today but tomorrow I'm, playing all day hopefully!

Lampwork workshop

Good morning everyone . I'm super excited as I Recieved my kiln yesterday so I can anneal and finish off my beads myself properly.
I've tidied up,my workstation to accommodate it and it works beautifully.
Easy to programme once I sussed it out!
It's my last days of holiday today as I'm back to the day job tomorrow and I have so much boring housework to do so no playing for me today........

Back home

Hi everyone ...I'm back!
We had a lovely holiday in Vegas and I got some lovely beads and I was lucky enough to go to a beading afternoon where I made a pendant which I've put on here. Such lovely ladies and Teri the tutor was fab!
Here's the pendant so far ..not my usual style but great fun and I'm rather pleased with it.

Holidays!

Well guys the time has come for my holiday to Vegas ! I've been busy today making some fun jewellery to take with me as I like to wear matching sets when I'm away so it matches my outfit. I think when one can make jewellery why not make enough that it matches my outfits!

A week to go ,!

good morning all , I'm so excited !!!

Only 5 days till my hols to Vegas! Can't wait we love it there and there's a lot of beads shops I visit, Sweet beads is one I always look forward to as she has some lovely unusual beads.
However got 3 days at the day job to concentrate on which will be busy I expect.

I am also debating whether to get a kiln to do my jewellery in although a big outlay I think ill use it a lot and should be able to recoup the money spent back in a few months.
I will be selling some jewellry and maybe some loose beads on test when I return from hols.

Just wrote my to do list for today and it's long! Going on hols to Vegas next week and need to pack plus got some orders to post and to make as well for my jewellery!

Lampwork earrings

Hi everyone,
I've been very busy lately I'm afraid ...I've been making beads! Did you think busy with work or the house ? Oh no not at all! I mean busy playing LOL
I've managed to make up a couple of sets of earrings from the first sets of beads I made. I will be putting on Etsy next week after girls at work have seen them as they also are interested to buy stuff.
I have other thing s like pendants as I have done them but need to put on a cord or a chain.

New beads

Good morning all,
I was off yesterday and contrary  to what I should have done( tidy house) I played on my lampwork all day!  Well most of it anyway! I'm going on hols soon and I want to give a special bead to the lady at Sweet Beads in Vegas as she's so lovely and helpful.
I am getting much better at making the beads and will be able to make up some of these into sets to sell once they are annealed.
I think I'll try Etsy to see if I can sell on there as it's for handmade stuff.

Lamp work studio

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share the piccy of my workstation I use for the lamp work beads so you can see that I actually do make them! It's quite tidy at the moement as I tidied it last night!
I'm awaiting my beads back from the company who annuals them ( this makes them stronger and so last longer) can't wait for them to come back do I can get some jewellry made!
Am at day job today but off tomorrow so I'll be playing tommo!

Day job

At the day job today ......but i want to stay home and play and make more beads!
I'm sending them all off to be annealed and I can t wait for them to be returrned so I can make up some jewellery to sell....or maybe wear!
I need more wrists and another neck! So many lovely beads I'm no good at giving them up though!!

Ive been making this cuff for ages and it's so time consuming but I will love it. Once it's finished I expect.

Beads glorious beads!

Well Hi everyone!
I've been having a lovely time with my new toy ! Making some lovely beads ...now I have the ventilation system I'm doing it all the spare time I have ,
These are the beads ready to be sent off to be annealed and then I will sort into good ones and make up a few jewellry bits.

Ribbon work project

Good morning. I've been up since 5-30 am thanks to my lovely doggies!  So I thought I'd do some stitching I'm preparing the project for the workshop on Saturday which is on ribbon work.
I'm quite pleased with it but it's been ages since I did any ribbon work so it's good to remind myself.

Awful weather

Good morning.
Today is a stay in and play day, the weather is awful apparently the storm called " Bertha" is over the UK.
It's raining and windy here so not going anywhere which means I can stay in and make some more beads!
I have quite a collection now and am going to make into jewellery to sell I may put some on Etsy I think so if you go on there it's under Laouami .
I can't wear them all as much as I'd like to!
Well I'm off to play some more and hope the weather gets better my little dog doesn't like this weather!

Fun friday

Today I'm off to see my freind whom I'm doing the exhibition with in a couple of years. Also going to see the exhibition we did recently at Craft Arena it's on all of August.

Diachronic beads

Made some more fabulous beads yesterday and learnt a very important lesson.......wear long trousers when doing hot glass as it spits! I had a very hot lap yesterday LOL
Still had fun though! I have decided to sell some in jewellery though I can't keep them all.
Poor hubby isn't getting fed until late each evening as I'm so addicted!
Bad wife.......he is such a patient man!

Good Morning all,
I am sitting in my garden enjoying the quiet and listening to bird song.....with a cuppa of course !
I went. To. A brilliant exhibition yesterday where students of Nora Stocker were. Showing their coursework.
It was such a high standard and. So inspiring to see.  I spoke to a few of them and was reminded of how much. Work is. Incolved in the city & guilds.

I've also been making more beads.....I love it I. Have found a new hobby which I am totally addicted to!
Here they're not quite finished off and polished. Yet.

Good morning everyone, I've been very busy these last few days as I have a new toy which I've totally fell in love with!
It's a lamp work kit and I've just made some beads on it.
Some of them are actually useable in my jewellery too!

Old keys

Hi everyone,
I visited Spitalfields market a couple of days ago , although breifly I saw a great stall that had old stuff on it. I bought some old keys which I don't yet know what ill do with them but ill do something!
I have been good and doing my exhibition work .....I am hopeless unless I have a deadline so ill need to book the time with my freind. To make sure I can plan a bit better!
Can't really show you yet anything from exhibition as. Not much finished!

Well Good. Morning. All ,
It's a lovely day today and I'm enjoying my first cuppa. In the garden with my pets thinking about getting myself ready for the day job! While it's so quiet here I think il. Do a little sketching as I still have to design many peices for the exhibition. I'm. Preparing for.

iPad case

Well good morning, I am up at 5am yes 5am , Mishka the husky woke me up wanting  to go out to garden and once I'm up I can't go back to bed ......
Yesterday was a productive day I made an iPad case and also did a bit of the ribbon embroidery I'm trying to do a YouTube video on..
I'm in London today for a meeting.......not looking forward to travelling on tube . So many people crammed in like sardines!
Anyways here's the iPad case I made.

Background for ribbon embroidery

Good morning everyone,
Ive. Been up early as dogs woke me so I thought I'd start my ribbon embroidery that I'm doing at the embroidery guild as a workshop in a couple of weeks.
Here's a video of how I did the background colour.
Tomorrow ill have done some of the embroidery hopefully!

First eBay listings

Good morning .
Well I've took the plunge and put some things on eBay to sell . I m bit nervous to see how they sell.....I've sold stuff before but always face to face so I've been able to meet the customers directly. So it's a bit of an unknown territory doing eBay.

Poor Snowy has his eye operation today so I doubt ill be able to do much playing today but I shall try!

#Rose quartznecklace

It made this yesterday as I Was off the day job.I did do my chores first though !
I found the pink rose quartz when I was tidying my beads up, I'm pleased I did find them as I'm pleased with results.
At the day job today so no time to play .....

3rd prize

Hi Everyone,
I forgot to tell you all I won 3rd prize at the embroidery guild on Saturday for my ladybugs picture.
The standard of work was really high as usual so I was pleased.
It's a mixed media piece with hand stitching and beads on it and I am not sure what to do with it so it's hanging in my work room at the moement ! No doubt ill have an idea what to do with it or where to hang permanently.
Well it's a lovely sunny day today so I ll go and play after I've done some housework I suppose!

Blue beads necklace

I made this last night from the #lamp work bead I got from Caroline in Barleylands. She is so clever. I'm at the day job today but off all day tommo so shall be playing !

#Lamp work bead necklace

I've just made this lovely necklace for the summer from a gorgeous bead I bought yesterday from Sue at Barleylands who makes beads.
She is so clever and her work is fab I'm so please with the result of the necklace I'll be wearing it all the time I think!
Well it's a sunny day today here so I'm going to be dyeing a sun dress I like but it's a pale colour and I need colour in my wardrobe! So off I go to do it before it rains.

Exhibition preparation

Ive just managed to get all my work ready for the exhibition I'm doing with a couple of friends this weekend.
I'd forgot how much it was wrapping and packing it all up!
We shall be at Craft Arena for the month of August which is great as it's as busy month as it's school holidays here.
I'm waiting for coffee to brew then I shall be writing up the programme and prices for the work I'm sending.we had thunderstorms all night there as so warm and humid.although not as hot as Vegas!
Well my coffees done so I'm off to do the computer work .

#resin jewellery

I had a go at making some resin shapes I could use in my  jewellery , however it wasn't as successful as I would have hoped....I learnt that you should not use moulds to limit the spread of the resin as it hardens and you can't get the shapes out......
Luckily some of the shapes were left without a mould and didn't stick so my time wasn't completely wasted! I used a variety of fabrics and card to see which worked best. The dyed silk worked well as did the tyvek shapes.
However I'm not very impressed with the outcomes so I don't think ill. Be doing this again.

Day off

I'm on day off today and it's a glorious day here so I shall be sitting in my garden doing some stitching I think!

Also need to get my things ready for the exhibition I'm doing which is going up on Sunday!

Tea cup pin cushions

Hi everyone , been busy I'm afraid so not been one re for a while.
I thought I'd share my photo of these little cute pin cushions I've made. They are for a small exhibition I'm doing locally to put in a cabinet . I saw these little cups and could resist but to make something.
I'm also trying to do better photos so you may see some experimental photos as I try different compositions!

Day out

I'm off today and as it's a Friday it's my play day! I'm going to Craft arena to see a exhibition done by one of the members at my Embroidery guild. I'm going with my usual partner in crime. Margaret  . We always have a laugh. We are also hoping to look at the Art trail in local town but weather is wet so we shall have to wait and see,

Lace Lady jar

good morning everyone,
I had to  share this creation with you I bought the head of the lady from the Octopus exhibition a lady called Noella made her. I decided that I would mount her on top of the jar so I can use the jar for buttons and admire the lady. I love her she's very quirky.
Today I at the day job at a community event and I am looking forward to it should be fun.

Vet with Snowy

GOod Morning everyone,
I'm offmy day job today but I not sure my plans to do some sewing will happen as my little pal is ill.
Ive Got  go to the vet and look after Snowy who's unwell.
I hate it when one of my pets is ill I mean they can't talk can they?so one doesn't if they are  in pain.

He is being brave little soldier but I think he will howl when he sees the vet! Hopefully he will be back to his old bouncy self soon.

Cakes

Good morning everyone ...
I've been up early today finishing off the cakes for work.
Whenever it's our birthday we take in cakes for our friends in work. I made loads! I did leave a few for hubby as well! Ill have to be careful not to over indulge!
I'm off tomorrow so I shall be stitching then no time for stitch today...too busy baking!

Dye sample bookk

I managed to finish off the dye sample book front , it shows how to do many technique s like shibori and folding fabrics then dying to get some fab patterns.
It will help me remeember how to do stuff I hope!

Horace the hare.

I went to a great textile exhibition by Octopus yesterday and as usual the work was fab! The theme was journeys and they had done all the work based on the journeys they had made and the holidYs they had gone on. The work was really interesting and the standard so high.
I couldn't say my favourite as I liked many of them . I bought little Horace that was made by a lady called Noella who makes great art dolls and 3d things.
So after a fab day yesterday indulging my creative side today is housework day!
Here's Horace I love that I can bend his arms and legs!
