Lace Lady jar

good morning everyone,
I had to  share this creation with you I bought the head of the lady from the Octopus exhibition a lady called Noella made her. I decided that I would mount her on top of the jar so I can use the jar for buttons and admire the lady. I love her she's very quirky.
Today I at the day job at a community event and I am looking forward to it should be fun.

Vet with Snowy

GOod Morning everyone,
I'm offmy day job today but I not sure my plans to do some sewing will happen as my little pal is ill.
Ive Got  go to the vet and look after Snowy who's unwell.
I hate it when one of my pets is ill I mean they can't talk can they?so one doesn't if they are  in pain.

He is being brave little soldier but I think he will howl when he sees the vet! Hopefully he will be back to his old bouncy self soon.

Cakes

Good morning everyone ...
I've been up early today finishing off the cakes for work.
Whenever it's our birthday we take in cakes for our friends in work. I made loads! I did leave a few for hubby as well! Ill have to be careful not to over indulge!
I'm off tomorrow so I shall be stitching then no time for stitch today...too busy baking!

Dye sample bookk

I managed to finish off the dye sample book front , it shows how to do many technique s like shibori and folding fabrics then dying to get some fab patterns.
It will help me remeember how to do stuff I hope!

 No time to be creative today I m afraid!

Horace the hare.

I went to a great textile exhibition by Octopus yesterday and as usual the work was fab! The theme was journeys and they had done all the work based on the journeys they had made and the holidYs they had gone on. The work was really interesting and the standard so high.
I couldn't say my favourite as I liked many of them . I bought little Horace that was made by a lady called Noella who makes great art dolls and 3d things.
So after a fab day yesterday indulging my creative side today is housework day!
Here's Horace I love that I can bend his arms and legs!

Dyed fabrics -shibori

Here's the outcome of the shibori playing I did yesterday. Once washed and ironed they look rather good.

I'm so pleased with them already got ideas how to use them!

Dye day off

 Good morning,
I am having a play day today I am supposed to be making a birthday cake for hubby as well....
Ill do that later, I'm having far too much fun!
I've been doing some shibori preparation and am nearly ready to dye it. I tried to video it but I could work it out so ill have to get hubby to be camera man next time......
Here's a photo of the wrapped ,scrunched fabrics before dyeing ill show you the finished article tomorrow hopefully as I need to dye them now. What to do with all this lovely fabric........!
