power tex sample

Good morning all.
I have been busy as you know and I have been using power tex which is a fabric hardner and I love it! I've made some lovely things and my friend who has a shop wants me to do a mini workshop on it to introduce people to it. I'm delighted to do so as then I can play .
Here's a sample of something I've made which is for the workshop to show how it can be used.

Sashico pin cushion

I made this pin cushion over the weekend at the Embroidery guild , I rarely do the workshops as I'm usually busy but I sat with the members and stitched for a change. I really enjoyed it too! This is the little pin cushion I made which I really like although I have got loads of pin cushions!
I have been really busy with my exhibition work as well and am no getting really excited about it as its only six months away.
Well I'm at the day job today so need to dash off.

My work table

I am getting a bit messy todY..here's the table so far with a preview of the shrine for exhibition..it's finished now so I'm onto next peice which is a mixed media based on a 15 th century map of Mecca .
I'm sure I'll be making yet more mess as I go along hubby said something about house work but I wasn't listening......

Busy days

 Well I have been busy lately ! Because the weathers been good I have done a lot of my larger works for the exhibition I will show you once they're finished, I am getting excited now ! Must dash as I'm at the embroidery guild today so have lots to do.

Mixed media canvas

Good morning everyone,
I've been so busy lately getting my exhibition stuff done and trying to make headway on some projects. I'm getting excited about one particular peice which is quite personal as it describes my faith and what my faith means to me.
It's in blue of course to fit in with the theme of the exhibition ! Here's a sneak preview of it as it is now its not finished yet as I'm planning to put more stitch on it and some beads as well.

St Francis Hospice

Yesterday I had a lovely dAy helping out at the Woofs & wags day . We were raising money for the St Francis Hospice in Romford. They do marvellous work for people with life limiting illnesses.

I took my little baby Snowy and he helped me on the raffle table , my friend Jane came as well . There was loads of people there with their dogs . If you visit the Facebook page for the hospice you'll see some lovely photos of the doggies.

Shrine design

Good morning  all,

busy yesterday and am getting very excited as Ihave had a breaak through on my shrine design and embroidery. I was really struggling with how to decorate and produce a shrine which I wanted to be looking like a mosque with a man praying in side. It is a 3d textile art peice and Ive now moddelled the little man in clay but as hes naked he looks very odd so Ill show him once hes dressed!
However I have started the embroidery so Ill show the design work and then ill post the embroidery as it progresses .
At the day job today so no creative time today.off tommorrow though so lots of time hopefully!
