Beaded set

I'm off work at the moement not feeling great ......but I get so bored so I have strung this set so my hands are busy . Didn't take long to do really it's the colours of the natural beads I had the blue ones for ages and I just got the coral colour recently and they really go well together I think.
A great holiday peice I think as it's a total set.

Clay necklace

Good morning all. Well I have been busy lately I've found jewellery clay oh my it's wonderful stuff! I've been making loads and having so much fun with it.  I did pottery at school and managed to get an  an O level which is a GSCE A grade I think I new terms.
I'd forgot ton how much I loved to play with it and mould it into shapes , it's so tactile I'd recommend it to anyone.
Here's the necklace I finished yesterday and I am hoping to make more as I do have lots of  clay!

Baby quilt

Been a while sine I was on here... Day job is busy and life is busy! I've been making thing s though one of the things is this baby quilt for a freind who's expecting.
I also have started wire wrapping jewellery which is fun.
Here's the quilt . I'll try to post a wired piece as well later.

Blue blackwork

I am being very disciplined at the moement which is hard for me in my art.
I am trying to finish the blackwork piece I'm doing for the exhibition . I hate blackwork having to stay in lines, straight and exact isn't my usual way to work as you prolbly know by my blog pictures, however I am staying focused on the blackwork as once I've finished it I can put away until the exhibition. I've used painted fBric and layered over some organza so the work isn't traditional blackwork but I still have to follow the rules on straight stitch in the style of blackwork.
The last time I did blackwork was for my study a few years ago, so a reminder of the tecnique is good I suppose......

Been a while since I was on here although I have been busy!  I've been doing my projects for the exhibition and also preparing stuff for the workshop I'm doing at the embroidery guild in June.
