Results of marble workshop

Here's the results of the marble workshop. I had a lovely day thanks to Dallas and her sister who showed us this technique which although isn't a a new thing it's new to me as it's something I've never done.....can't think why as it's using paint and it's messy! Not sure yet what to make ...I have made a small book which ill post tommo but not sure what else can make so any ideas?
At the day job today so I won't be playing..........

Marble workshop

Windy day

Good morning all,
I'm at the day job today and have to go out to the dAy job . The weather is awful so windy and wet. It's the hurricane coming over the Atlantic apparently.
Anyways I'm off tomorrow so I shall be home all day playing and making my beads.
Still need to make a lot more I think!

Necklace

Here's a vintage styled necklace I made earlier today , I've had the bead I'd made for ages ankle I couldn't decide what to do  so I had a light build moement and came up with this.

Owl & the pussycat cushion

Good morning all,
I've been ever so busy lately....
Did lots of beadwork yesterday and also been sewing my owl and pussycat cushion cover which I'm loving ! So is my sister so I expect to either make another one or give her this one !
Here's the embroidery so far I just love the colours I've used. So vibrant.

Fish cake recipe

A few people asked me for the salmon fish cake recipe.
So here it is.

Ingredients
1 salmon filet about 6-8 oz in weight - boneless and a skinless poached and then flaked in a bowl.
Mashed potatoes mashed with butter,about 12 oz
1/2 chopped onion softened in bit of oil until golden brown.
4 anchovies ( optional)
Salt and pepper.
Fresh chopped parsley 1 tablespoon
Fresh brown bread crumbs,

Egg with bit of milk to make breadcrumbs stick.


Mix all ingredients except bread crumbs until binded together.it will be a bit stodgy so add some bread crumbs till it's a like a doughy consistency.
You need to be able to mould it into rounds and pat down to a fish cake shape disc of about an in thick.

This makes 4 good sized cakes

Then dip into egg wash and then breadcrumbs making sure to cover all the cake. Then can cook in a oven on gas mark 5 making sure to grease tin as may stick. Can fry too but I'm trying to be healthy!
You can freeze too if you wrap in some cling film first.

Raining!

Good morning all.
It's raining here and has been for days...I love the rain ..am I sad? I just love the noise it makes on my conservatory roof while I'm working in there. It's a natural sound and I find therapeutic.
I've been busy making jewellery for the craft fair but after putting it on the display stands I managed to buy of eBay from a lovely lady who was downsizing I realise I don't have nearly enough stock!
So I'll be busy over next month ! Need to be sure I've got lots of choice for customers.
Well I'm at the day job today so best get ready!
